Mathematics, a voyage to understand the world

This is a new entry about math, or maths, or mathematics, whatever you prefer. I usually use math, but maths is the same mainly in UK. It does not matter, both are great.

I have already talked about the importance of mathematics in another entry. Today, returning to the subject, I would like to talk about this matter again, in a more direct way.

The reason is a recent conversation with a mathematics professional, a teacher who is truly desperate due to the very low level of mathematics that we have in Europe (at least). A serious problem, since the lack of knowledge of mathematics entails many problems for students, not only in their studies, but in life in general as well.

The Pythagorean theorem

Math Classroom Challenge 3.0 is here!

Hi there! We’re happy to inform that Version 3.0 of Math Classroom Challenge is now available on Xbox One S/X and Steam!

New version 3.0 is called Super Drone! Now you can play the game in first person view as usual, but you can also switch to a third view with a drone. With the drone you can move around the scenario and even change that view to see as if you were flying the drone.

But there are changes to the Winter area, the Moon area, and a new area called “Math Island” where you’ll have to deal with math day and night.

We also have corrected some minor problems to the game.

And remember: panels with math problems must be solved. The panel with the halo is the active. Throw water with the water hose to the flying number to solve the math problem. When a panel is finished, start with the new one.

Also remember: there will appear math panels with three solutions, choose the right one with the water hose. You can also call one of these panels (take a look to the help for pad commands).

Do math teachers use Math Classroom Challenge? Here you can see some of them.

Enjoy math in a 3D world, thank you!

Enhanced version of Math Classroom Challenge for Xbox One

We’re happy to inform that Math Classroom Challenge has been enhanced for the Xbox One, being the most important element the inclusion of DirectX 12, the new API for intensive graphics by Microsoft.

Math Classroom Challenge is again reworked to update its features on the Xbox One. We wanted to enhance the performance of the game, and we have been working on it. Something important has contributed to this: DirectX 12 on Xbox One. The game now makes better use of the memory, and that allows a game running better than never. And we are committed to enhanced the game even more.

The new version 2.0 is now on the Xbox Store. We explain all this in detail here.
